September 12 - October 22 China On My Mind By Painter/Printmaker Conrad Ross | Alabama artist Conrad Ross has completed a series of landscape paintings of the China landscape in mixed media that are linked, flowing from one to the other in a 25-foot display. The artist has worked with landscape since 1972 when he presented an “Ecological Construction” in an exhibition at the High Museum in Atlanta. Ross began composing China imagery in the summer of 1994 when he toured the country on a Fulbright trip. The artist’s exploration in paint and print is a decade long project that has culminated with China On My Mind, Painter/Printmaker Conrad Ross. |

December 3 - December 24 The Trees of Christmas | The holiday season is captured through a unique and meaningful exhibition that provides insight about the people of the Shoals area: who they are, what they do and the things they think are important. Community groups and individuals create an alluring exhibition using nine 12 foot tall live spruce and fir trees to tell their stories. Decorators use a variety of uncharacteristic techniques and materials to carry out both traditional and unexpected trees. A wonderland of visual pleasure is in store for audiences who attend this one of a kind exhibit. The exhibition of decorated trees, the smell of fresh trees and special museum decorations make for a pleasurable experience that has become a part of many family traditions. | Follow us on...
