China on My Mind
Alabama artist Conrad Ross has completed a series of landscape paintings of the China landscape in mixed media that are linked, flowing from one to the other in a 25-foot display. The artist has worked with landscape since 1972 when he presented an "Ecological Construction" in an exhibition at the High Museum in Atlanta. Ross began composing China imagery in the summer of 1994 when he toured the country on a Fulbright trip. The artist's exploration in paint and print is a decade long project that has culminated with China On My Mind, Painter/Printmaker Conrad Ross. |
